The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority (“TLCPA”) is requesting qualification statements from Design/Build (“D/B”) firms to provide design and construction in connection with the new Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority (TLCPA) support facility project. The project involves design and construction of one (1) Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) at Facility 1 located at 3445 St. Lawrence Drive in Toledo, Ohio. The TLCPA will select and retain a (D/B) firm for the design and construction of this project. This project will be performed as a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract with the amount not to exceed $4,692,393.00. Only qualified firms/contractors are eligible to participate in this project.
Description of Proposed Project:
· One 150’ by 330’; 150’ by 200’ building or largest building possible with available funds outlined above;
· Building to include: 7 overhead doors (18’ door height), electrical feed, lighting, concrete floors, fire suppression, rail spur and 3 or 4 truck docks, and stormwater management facilities either attached to this site or piped to existing pond (See attached sketch);
· All construction permits required for this project;
· All site utilities as needed to operate and receive occupancy;
· All other items as shown on the attached layouts and scope of work sheet.
This notice shall serve as a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms to oversee the design and construction of this project. The D/B firm will be required to design and construct the project to a recognized set of written standards, need to complete all design, site layout and project management. They will be required to secure all permits including final occupancy. Upon completion of the project the D/B firm will be required to provide all operation and closeout manuals, as-built construction drawings, test reports, system operation instructions and any training that is needed. The D/B firm will need to meet State of Ohio Prevailing Wage rate requirements. Responses to this RFQ will be used to select a qualified firm to perform this work for the TLCPA.
